a teaser for Reading In Public project #2. We just got our stickers back from Frank at Linson Signs (hi, Frank!). Library! will be an honor system (take a book and leave one in its place) book exchange of sorts (Catherine insists it’s more of a culture exchange) where each book will have a bookplate documenting its travels. Library! itself will start its journey at Steynberg Gallery on Monterey. Due any day now… http://thereadinginpublicproject.blogspot.com http://www.flickr.com/photos/readinginpublic/ http://twitter.com/readinginpublic sept 14 2009
Here for his WWII 86th Infantry BlackHawk Division 50th reunion and sculpture dedication at Camp San Luis! This was his first time back in 50 years and he and his wife came early to see how much San Luis Obispo has changed. They both love the arts and reading. http://www.flickr.com/photos/readinginpublic/ sept 4 2009
We need a NAME. a Name of an unusual lending Library of sorts. Library that is outdoors or in public spaces. Library that is smallish in nature. (3.5ft x 2.5ft) Library that is portable so to speak. WHAT would you name it? Here are some ideas we have so far. Tell us what you think and/or tell us your suggestions. email us.
